<p><b>Vermeil</b> (pronounced <i>vehr-MAY</i>), also known as silver gilt is a combination of sterling silver, gold, and other precious metals. It is commonly used as a component in jewelry. A typical example is sterling silver coated with 14-carat gold. To be considered vermeil, the gold must also be at least 10-carat and be at least 1.5 micrometres thick. Sterling silver covered with another metal cannot be called vermeil.</p><p>Vermeil can be produced by either fire-gilding or electrolysis. The original fire-gilding process was developed in France in the mid-1700s; however, France later banned the production of vermeil because over time artisans developed blindness due to mercury involved in the process. <p>谢谢LZ!</p><p>在下正好从事珠宝行业,很多外单在国内加工,但没听说过那家工厂用Vermeil工艺.</p><p>AG925,白色18K黄金,PT900,950,PD等贵金属表面,一般都要镀铑,工厂称为电白工艺.把金箔预先碾薄到100万分之一英寸厚(约为:2.5微米),再包到银上面,似乎是古老的工艺.</p><p>看了上面的介绍,感觉主要区别是抗磨损程度.都是电镀,但质量不一样.各种名词只是拉开产品档次的手段,比如"高级树脂"...</p><p></p>

<p>纯银饰品镀白金（white gold) 或者其他白色贵金属的是很多的，但也有些是高抛光的。</p><p>个人更喜欢后者的那种温润的银白色，不太喜欢那种镀得白亮亮的类似于镀铬的效果。</p><p>上次hua兄出过一个dunhill的纯银笔架，据说就是完全靠高抛光到那种亮闪闪的效果的。</p><p>vermeil的主要原因可能还是防止氧化和美观。</p>

<p>普通925银高抛光后,几分钟变黑.所以有些银首饰做旧.</p><p>防止银氧化,是行业热点,仅高抛光无镀层,国内工艺还做不到.dunhill用的925银,配方应该不一样.</p><p>T900高抛不镀,应该可行,成本会高一点.</p>

<p>包金镀金没啥区别的啦。现在包金＝镀金。</p><p>只有老的51笔套上表明了包金的重量，黄金的成色的那种，16K, 1/8,那种才算真正意义上的包金啦</p><p>没有这样的字样的一概等于镀金。</p>
