CP1 Targa in Sterling Silver

The first series in the Classic Pens CP Collection was launched in 1990. It established a fruitful cooperation between Classic Pens, Sheaffer and Murelli R S.A.R.L. The model selected for CP1 was the Targa by Sheaffer. The stylish Targa by Sheaffer, launched in 1976 is regarded as a modern classic.

The CP1 Targa is fully covered in sterling silver. It was offered in a single world wide edition of 250 pens in the rich Vannerie ( Basketweave) pattern. This pattern is exclusive to Classic Pens for the Targa in sterling silver. The pens are laser engraved on the cap ornament with the CP1 logo and the individual limited edition number. The cap band is engraved with the manufacturer's name, Sheaffer, and the pens carry the London Assay Office sterling silver mark.

The working relationship between Classic Pens and Sheaffer was strengthened in 1993 with the launch of the CP2 Pushkin.

The second limited edition in the Classic Pens CP series, is the Sheaffer Crest CP2 Pushkin Pen, launched in 1993.

This launch was the fruit of a special collaboration between Classic Pens, Sheaffer and the Pushkin Prizes, a literary awards program for children in Ireland presided over by the Duchess of Abercorn, descendant of Aleksandr Pushkin, the founding father of modern Russian literature. Classic Pens gave a donation to the Pushkin Prizes for each pen sold.

The series was offered in a single worldwide limited edition of 500 sterling silver pens in an elaborate Barleycorn finish, exclusive to Classic Pens for the Crest model in sterling silver. The Crest replicates the elegant design of the Sheaffer esteemed Snorkel pen of the 1950s.

The cap band is laser engraved with the CP2 logo, the individual limited edition number and the manufacturer's name, Sheaffer. The pens carry the sterling silver mark of the London Assay Office and are housed in hand crafted presentation cases.

They are accompanied by the Sheaffer warranty, and two certificates of authenticity, one from Classic Pens and another from the Pushkin Prizes, signed by the Duchess of Abercorn.

The cap is also laser engraved with the stanza in original Russian and Aleksandr Pushkin's signature.

The stanza is one of Pushkin's most favorite and the translation is:

'AND FINGERS YEARN FOR PEN,
PEN FOR PAPER,
A MOMENT ...
AND VERSES FREELY FLOW.'

钢字似以去掉为宜。
唐贯休“手点时难弃，身闲架亦高。何妨成五色，永愿助风骚”有点参照意义
