In most none NOS case, 50-60% of David Isaccson's price should be more reasonable.
Once, he was selling a grey PFM I for $340 on his website. I talked to him a couple of times trying to get him sell me for $300. But he only agreed to have free shipping, so insulting! So I later got my gray PFM II from Sherrel at $250, all restored; and another gray PFM III from ebay for less than $300 (and David-i wanted to buy the gray PFM III from me for $320 in Boston pen show 2 months ago, which I rightly rejected! I am sure that he would have sold it for $500+ if he had gotten it from me.)

What kind of loser Doc he  is? kind of silly.  I never understand these collectors.  A moonlighting night can make $800-2000.

It was never about the money. He loves pens and does have a lot of followers. I guess htat being able to sell pens at a high price is a kind of achievement. Just like why some billionairs or multi-hundred millionairs are still so busy making money: it is what they love to do. I truely believe that Dr. Isaacson is a die-hard pen lover. He told me that he would rather make less money but spend more time on pens. But it is kind of silly to quit his doctor job, maybe someday.

I would rather he treat collecting pens as a secondary job than primary, it's not only about money, but money is one of necessities of refining a collection.
