In 1983 the European Parker pen lines werereorganised. The Parker "61", Parker "65", Parker"85" and Parker "105" were discontinued. The 61/65 was atthe end of a long stretch and the 85/105 hadn't been all that successful. InsteadParker decided on a new member to the Parker "75" family and ThePremier was introduced in September 1983. It was produced by the Parker factoryin Meru, France, and borrowed many features from the Parker "75". Thenib and section was very similiar to the Parker "75" but to enhancethe fact that this was a top line pen, the Premier got an 18 carat gold nib.The pen was also longer and wider than the Parker "75" and sported anew, facetted cap band and had two black onyx jewels at the ends. 1983年，欧洲派克生产线重组，停止了派克61，65，85，105系列的生产。作为替代，派克决定开发一种新的75系列。于是1983年9月，产生了派克帕米亚。它从派克75中吸收了很多优点，如笔尖和笔握部分，并且派克极力把他打造为一款高端（top line）的笔。帕米亚的笔尖全部为18k金，用料厚实，笔身比75要长和粗，因而要重很多；笔帽端口改用onyx玛瑙（onyx jewels）。

In 1989the Athenes and the silver plated Grain d'Orge was discontinued.The Premier waslast featured in the 1992 catalogue, although some sources claim that it wassold until 1994. Towards the end the Premier was also being manufactured inNewhaven in the UK. Although the pen had a ten year-plus run,items are expensive and not readily available to collectors today. The solidgold models are of course rare and increasingly expensive. The demise of the Premier had more to dowith company policies and a strategy to rejuvenate the Parker product catalog,than with the quality of the writing equiptment itself. Like in the early1920's. Parker decided to slim down the model range and concentrate on a few,also slimming down the cost of manufacturing. Like in the car industry, it'scheaper to make one part fits all, than a multitude of parts in small numbers.Enter the Sonnet. One design in a wide range of finishes and pricing. Thus thePremier, the fabulous Parker "75" and the Parker "95" washand in hand lead into a production oblivions. 帕米亚的停产是出于公司政策及为了让派克产品变得年轻（复苏）的策略，而不是出于书写工具质量的原因。这类似于20世纪20年代时派克消减它的产品种类，而集中精力于少数几种型号，从而削减成本。如同汽车工业一样，生产可以通用的配件可以降低成本。到了卓尔系列，一种设计可以实现众多产品及定价。因而，帕米亚，著名的75及95也手拉手走向消亡。
