Yard-O-Led与Yard-O-Lette

The smaller pencil was made in two versions, the yard-o-lette with a clip was for the “Gentlemans Vest Pocket” ie waistcoat and the Lady Yard – o – lette for the ladies use with a ring which could be attached to a chatelaine. The smaller pencil, with the clip, was produced from the start in 1934 and was still made into the 1960′s.

                                                                              Yard-O-Led

Early pencils by Yard-O-Led are very collectable, useable and offer excellent value for money. Round-, square-, and (rare) triangular-barreled models are some examples, but the firm produced a very wide range of designs. Other versions include a rare "heavy" pencil, and a small half-length design known as the "Yard-O-Lette". The hexagonal "Diplomat", a popular post-war model, is almost exactly the same today as when first produced in 1947.

事实上，Yard-O-Lette已经停产，这个产品有不少版本，普遍是面向Gentleman的便携之用（短小、粗壮，分量重）和Lady使用（短小、轻便），不过一般说来，YOL的东西越早越值钱，所以收藏Yard-O-Lette更有价值吧，因为Yard-O-Led现在比较单纯地面向收藏市场（而不是过去的主要面向使用市场），正在源源不断地造出毒害坛友的东西！像诸多巨贵的新笔，在实用、耐用和本应费时才能达到实用质量要求一些材料上，比过去都差了不少，要留心才能少中毒。
另外，Yard-O-Lette在60年代前就停产了，算起来基本都有60年以上的沧桑了，老银的东西比锃光瓦亮的新货，个人认为更有味道，不是么？
