犀飞利的lifetime尖以及后来的潜艇胜利尖款式上,往往能看到REG. U.S. PAT. OFF的字样,如下面几个图

第一个图援引他人,后面的自拍,分别是Oversized balance 1500,Triumph Tuckaway 1250和Oversized Triumph 1750,拍的不好见谅。
关于这个缩写,多方询问后,普遍的答案如下
”Hello and thanks for the interest...Registering an item with the US Patent Office protects you against design and trademark improvement.“
简而言之,”REG. U.S. PAT. OFF“=Registering an item with the US Patent Office ,翻译成中文就是”本设计已在美帝专利局登记“ 打上这么一行字无非是谨防假冒的意思。不论是胜利款还是开放式的lifetime尖,除了笔尖末端微微上翘和独特的打磨方式以外,最大的特点是笔尖中段加厚,使得笔尖中缝有更大的厚度以达成精确控水的设计,注册的专利保护的应该就是这种独一无二的造型——至少我很少在其他牌子的笔上见过有这种笔尖金片的设计,除了同样以控水精准而著称的英雄200。三四十年代的平衡款,虽然没有51那么完善的毛细控水设计,但下水多半都非常均匀,笔尖素质则代表了当时的最高水平,完全可以跟现产高档笔的笔尖一较高下,飞白的情况也不多见,与之形成对比的是同时代的派克真空,我接触过的不少都是下水大的让人无法忍受且抗漏性不好的水枪。

2、RU-PL与OS-PL
这种铭文在43-51年之间的派克51上很常见
FPN上有一段对此的描述: The earliest 1943 nibs will have OS-PL, which stands for Osmiridium Plathenium, changed later in the same year to RU-PL, which stands for Ruthinium Plathenium. Sometime in 1947, the designation was changed to just RU. The RU designation continued on nibs through 1950. Starting in 1951, the tipping designation on the nibs was again changed to PU. Nibs were available in a very wide range of point sizes.
